Q/ My alarm has stopped responding to the fobs.

  A/ Check the fob batteries (2X CR1220) they should be no less than 3 volts each

  A/ Sometimes the alarm will go out of sync with the fobs, try recoding them back to   the alarm, you will need the code card using the 5 digit code & the alarm's LED to re-sync them.   Instructions can be found here. If the codecard is missing the only option is to replace or remove the alarm

Q/ I entered the overide code but the alarm does not repond

  A/ Looks like the alarm has failed & needs replacing

Q/ I cannot find the LED for the alarm so I can re-sync the fobs
   A/ Unfortunately many installers fit the LED in the rear tail light making it very difficult to view & operate the ignition at the same time. The LED is quite fragile and is susceptible to damage due to dampness & vibration if this is the case the LED will need to be replaced which can be found here. If the LED cannot be located follow the wiring loom from the alarm & look for two thin wires coming away from this loom (one red, one black), these are probably the feed wires to the LED. Follow to the end to locate the LED or where it would have been.

Q/ My bike has been laid up for some time & the battery has gone flat

   A/ Make sure the battery is fully charged or replace with a new item. Try to re-code the fobs back to the alarm, if the alarm is 10 or so years old it would have probably failed & needs to be replaced

Q/ My alarm is constantly making a buzzing noise

   A/ Sounds like water has got inside the unit causing a short circuit, the only option is a replacement

Q/ My alarm is over 10 years old & has stopped responding to the fobs

  A/ The alarm's lithium internal batteries have failed, the only option is to replace or remove the alarm as the battery is sealed within the unit. Lithium batteries have a lifespan of 10 or so years & will fail whether they have been used or not once they have failed the alarm will usually follow suit.

Q/ The internal battery has fail can it be changed

   A/ Sorry no, the battery is sealed inside the unit. 

Q/ I have the M351a which has failed, will the M357TV2 simply plug in.

   A/ Sorry no, the connections within the connector plug of the two alarms are different, however a M357TV2 with an adapter loom can be purchased which is a simple plug & play swap over, more info

Q/ I bought a fob from Ebay how can I program it to my alarm

   A/ To code a new fob to your alarm it needs to be pre-coded with the 16 digit code, it is not possible to buy a fob & pair it to the alarm without this procedure. Once coded the fob needs to be paired to the alarm using the 5 digit code. Coding the fob with the 16 digit code can only be done by dealers with the correct equipment

Q/ The sounder on the alarm is very faint

   A/ The sounder has failed the only answer is to replace the alarm unit, replacements for the M357TV2 can be found here

Q/ When I arm the alarm the unit beeps a few times, also the indicators are no longer flashing

   The fuse that supplies the power to the alarm has blown, replace it with a 15Amp item. If the fuse keeps blowing the alarm will need replacing as the internal batteries a shorting & will cause iminent failure of the alarm unit.

Q/ When I dis-arm the alarm the unit bleeps a number of times

   A/ This indicates the alarm's internal battery is low & needs charging. The alarm only charges when the engine is running, take the bike for a long ride.

Q/ The alarm goes of just after arming immediately after a long ride.

   A/ The alarm is detecting movement due to the cooling of the bike, this is caused by the frame components contracting making the alarm think there is movement of the bike, either wait a few moments for the contraction to calm down or move the alarm to a less sensitive area on the bike 

Q/ My DefcomT sounds an extra beep on arming

   A/ This is because the seat sensor is not near enough to the magnet or is faulty, make sure the two are no wider than 1cm apart. This bleep does not occur on the M35 range of alarms.
