Maserati 3200GT
Many of the 3200GT series cars are fitted with the Meta M9-26 alarm system as standard, they can also be fitted with the M321 which just controls the central locking remotely. If the supplied fob has a single button protruding from the side of the ignition key means that either of these systems are fitted. Both control units are hidden behind the rear pasenger side cover (near side), remove rear seat and side cover to access the unit.
If the existing remote fobs no longer operate with the alarm we can recode them back to work in combination again. Remove the circuit board(s) from the ignition keys & send them complete with the alarm control unit for re-coding, the vehicle will still operate as normal using the ignition key providing the transponder chip is not removed (see photo below), to open the case simply insert a screwdriver or flat blade into the side where the top & bottom covers meet, twist the blade so the top cover will unclip from the base giving access to the circuit board which can easily be removed.
Please note these fob circuit boards are only available from Maserati, we can supply remote fobs that work with the alarm but they are of a different design and will not fit inside the standard ignition key. For the style of fobs we supply & all information about Meta alarm fobs click here
A guide of how to access & remove the 3200GT alarm can be found here

Maserati 4200GT
Many of the 4200GT series cars are either fitted with the Meta M826 alarm system or the M822 remote locking system as standard, if the supplied fob has a two button fob the chances are that this alarm is fitted. Just like the 3200GT the alarm control unit is hidden behind the rear pasenger side cover (near side), remove rear seat and side cover to access the unit.
If the existing remote fobs no longer operate the alarm we can recode them back to work with the alarm again. Remove the circuit board(s) from the ignition keys & send them complete with the alarm control unit for re-coding, the vehicle will still operate as normal using the ignition key.
The 2 button circuit boards for the 4200 alarm are no longer available, however some Maserati dealers may still have stock of them
The two button circuit board is no longer available (Contact Maserati for availability)
