Plug & Play replacement immobiliser for the Meta M36T2 unit fitted to many Lotus models. Simple plug & play installation, simply locate the old M36T2 unit unplug it & plug in the replacement kit, fit the LED & away you go (The LED is an easy fit item which sticks to the inside of the windscreen, no holes to drill).
This BLE replacement system functions with the original M992 alarm system, the immobiliser is automatically disarmed once the BLE fob is in range & automatically immobilises when out of range, this all works automatically no buttons to press (For operation timings see below), just carry the BLE fob in a pocket & use the original fobs to arm & dis-arm the alarm system, once in the car the immobiliser will automatically dis-arm allowing the car to start & run. If still fitted the M99 alarm will function as normal.
Supplied with one B9.5 ID tag, choose above to add a second tag. To add a Tag at a later date the complete system will need to be sent back to Abacus Car Alarms for re-programming (£125 charge plus return post to code one extra B9.5 tag, £99 per B9.5 to program more tag(s) at the same time)
How the system works.
After the ignition switch has been switched off:
Once the ID-Tags are out of range the immobiliser will automatically arm, meaning the car cannot be started. The arming occurs 35 seconds after the ID-Tag is out of range which is 10Mtrs approx. Once out of range the 'Operation LED' will constantly flash indicating the immobiliser is active
Once the ID-Tag is in range the immobiliser will disarm allowing the vehicle to be started, disarming occurs 5 seconds after the ID-Tag is in range, for disarming is 5Mtrs approx. The 'Operation LED' will stop flashing & the vehicle can now be started
Autolocking Option
If central locking is fitted the BLE kit can kit updated to automatically lock & unlock the doors as well as immobilise/un-immobilise the engine, as such when the Tag is in range the doors will automatically open and the immobiliser will allow the car tto start and run, when out of range the doors will lock and immobilise the vehicle. This is a plug and play option. Please note if option is chosen the alarm needs to be removed and will no longer function. Choose option above
Complete With Free Farady Bag (prevents wireless connection between ID-Tag & immobiliser unit, supplied item may be different to one shown in photo - Faraday bag not supplied if all the ID Tages are set to manual mode)
