PLUG & PLAY INSURANCE APPROVED ALARMS FOR APRILIA, KTM & MOTO GUZZI BIKES
Many Aprilia, KTM & Moto Guzzi motorcycles come ready fitted with a plug for a simple fitment of an alarm system. The problem being that these factory alarms are not UK insurance approved devices or do not fully comply to the UK regulations.
Abacus Car Alarms have developed a couple of plug & play looms that will make the fitting of the Meta M357TV2 Thatcham approved alarm to the bikes listed below a breeze, in most cases the fitting time will be no more than a matter of minutes.
Bike’s fitted with the black 18 way alarm plug will be the quickest & easiest to fit, as the complete alarm is plugged into the bike’s pre-wired alarm socket, only the LED & seat sensor need to be connected to the factory pre-installed wiring.
Bike’s fitted with the white 14 way plug will take a little longer as the bike’s immobiliser circuits are not wired within this plug. Connecting our modified M357TV2 will give all the alarm functions but the immobiliser will not function, this will have to be hard wired in. The LED & seat sensor are wired to the bike’s pre-installed wiring.
The following bikes are usually fitted with either the Meta connection plugs
